Salford City's superb league form turnaround
Salford City lost their first three league games of the season, but after matchday nine, they sit top of the table.
The Ammies went into the League Two season as one of the favourites to clinch promotion.
The side signed numerous big names for the fourth division, including Macaulay Langstaff, Joe Powell, Brendan Wiredu, Will Aimson, Dan Scarr and Luke Molyneux.
Salford have remained unbeaten in their last six league games, winning five. In those fixtures, the Ammies have kept three clean sheets, putting them in a great place ahead of their clash with Cheltenham Town on Saturday.
Cheltenham are fourth in the league, but are only one point behind the Ammies.
The table toppers will hope to continue their great away form before facing bottom-of-the-table Crawley Town.
Peter Cklamovski's side had a dismal start to the campaign, but they have turned a corner in their form and are on a great run.
The biggest win of the campaign for Salford came against Greater Manchester side Oldham Athletic. The Latics lost 4-1 on home soil, their fourth successive league defeat.
Salford's leading goalscorer in League Two is midfielder Joe Powell, who has three goals in eight appearances. He also has two assists, showing he is a great threat in front of goal. He already has more goal involvements this season (5) than last season (4) in the league.
