Robbie Savage appointed Peterborough United's new manager

Robbie Savage will take charge of Peterborough United, who are second from the bottom in League One.
The Posh currently sit 23rd in League One, after picking up five points from their opening eight games. Their last outing was a 1-0 defeat away against Stockport County last week. The result was the side's sixth-straight league game without a victory.
After a poor start to the campaign, the club parted ways with Luke Williams after 11 months. The club then began their search for a replacement and decided on Forest Green Rovers' Robbie Savage.
The former Premier League midfielder signed a long-term deal with the third-tier side, who only have one league win so far this season, coming on matchday two.
The former Welsh international faces a tough task ahead, with his first game in charge in the league coming against former Premier League champions Leicester City.
Last season, Savage guided Forest Green to a seventh-place finish in the National League, before the side were knocked out of the play-offs in the first round.
Under Savage this season, FGR picked up four wins from 10, drawing two and losing four.
The difficult start for the club has not deterred Posh from signing their manager, however, and Robbie Savage is now preparing for the two-tier jump.
