England travelled to Croatia with both nations hoping to secure three points.

Thomas Tuchel’s side were looking to put back-to-back wins together for the first time since the World Cup. England had one win and one loss from their first two Nations League fixtures.

For Croatia, they were hoping to bounce back from their 4-1 defeat in Spain on Tuesday. A 4-1 loss against the world champions was a difficult result to take for the nation, who were hoping to get a win over a side that won against them at the World Cup.

The Three Lions started the game on fire, however, with Harry Kane handing England the lead inside eight minutes. England's talisman was yet again putting himself on the scoresheet against Croatia, similar to what he did at the World Cup.

From then on, it was one-way traffic in the game, with Tuchel’s team controlling all aspects of the match.

Jude Bellingham, Anthony Gordon and Bukayo Saka all added their names to the scoresheet in the first half, with England 4-0 up at half-time.

England were hoping for more of the same in the second half, and they got it.

Kane and Saka both scored in the second 45 minutes, while Morgan Rogers added his name to the scoresheet late in the game. Jude Bellingham impressed in particular, scoring once and getting a brace of assists.

Croatia were beaten at home 7-0 by England, who made extremely easy work of their opposition today.

England are second in Group 3 of the UEFA Nations League’s A section, level with Spain on points.

Tuchel's team now turn their attention to Czechia on Tuesday, as they hope Croatia can at least take a point off Spain. If so, England will close the gap on the European and world champions in the group.
