Egypt kick-started their African Cup of Nations tournament against Zimbabwe in Agadir.
Despite the firepower Egypt have up front, Zimbabwe struck first. Prince Dube opened the scoring after 20 minutes of play, giving his team a 1-0 advantage.
At half-time, Egypt found themselves behind and were looking for answers in the second 45.
Manchester City’s Omar Marmoush brought Egypt level with 64 minutes on the clock, giving his nation around 30 minutes to find a leveller.
As the clock struck 90, Egypt and Zimbabwe were looking at a point each, until Mohamed Salah stole the headlines in added time.
The winger's future is uncertain at Liverpool, following his post-match comments after Liverpool's 3-3 draw against Leeds. But, his problems at the Reds does not seem to be affecting him for his country.
The Egyptian king in the 91st minute latched onto a loose ball inside the box and shot low into the bottom right corner, beating Zimbabwe’s goalkeeper, giving Egypt the lead.
In added time, Egypt found the winning goal to secure their first win of the tournament this year, setting themselves up nicely for their next game against South Africa.
