Barcola scores a hat-trick for Liverpool in their 6-3 win

Andoni Iraola's side have bounced back from their weekend defeat against Manchester City and have beaten LASK 6-3.

Liverpool suffered a tough defeat on Sunday against Manchester City, as the Cityzens won 3-0 at Anfield.

The Reds travelled to Austria to face LASK this evening, hoping to win their second Champions League fixture of the season. Their first win was at home against Atlético Madrid, and they were up against a side that had lost their opening match to AEK Athens.

Liverpool started the better of the two and got off to a strong start, taking a 1-0 lead after 22 minutes. Ronald Araújo got his side off the mark on the evening, scoring his first goal for Liverpool.

Two minutes later, Bradley Barcola scored his first goal for the Reds since making his summer move from Paris Saint-Germain.

The Reds could smell blood and did not stop there either, as less than 15 minutes later, Florian Wirtz set up Barcola for his second of the game.

Iraola's side were 3-0 up at the break and had all but secured the win on the road.

Things were made even better when Jeremie Frimping added a fourth to the scoreline for his side, just over five minutes into the second 45.

Robert Ljubicic pulled one back for the hosts, just one minute after coming on.

Although the hosts had something to celebrate, their happiness was quickly deflated by Barcola.

Frimpong's low cross found the Frenchman at the back post, who tapped home and scored a hat-trick.

The score was 5-1; Barcola had a hat-trick, and Liverpool had three points.

Lewis Koumas had been denied by the offside flag twice before the 70th minute. But in the 72nd minute of the match, Frimpong found Koumas, who shot low and found the back of the net.

Although Liverpool led 6-1, LASK scored two goals in quick succession to make the scoreline 6-3.

The nine-goal thriller saw Liverpool win 6-3 and walk away with three points.
