22-year-old winger Louie Barry has completed a deadline day move from Aston Villa to Stockport County on loan until the end of the season.

Barry has been at Stockport County on two previous occasions before his return to the club on deadline day. The first time was when the club was in League Two, and he helped them achieve promotion to League One by winning the league. He was also with the club for the first half of last season, before returning to Villa ahead of a move to Championship side Hull City for the remainder of last campaign.

This season, Sheffield United signed the winger on loan from Villa, where he played nine times for the Blades. His time at Bramall Lane was cut short due to injury, seeing him return ot the Villains.

Stockport County were interested in the winger in January, along with other EFL clubs. The Hatters were able to get the deal done for their former loanee, with fans excited about the return of Barry.

The club have been active this window, completing the signings of Tanto Olaofe, Josh Stokes and Roman Dixonall, all on loan. The League One side has also completed the permanent signings of Adama Sidibeh and Josh Dacres-Cogley. The Hatters have picked up four wins in their last five league games, which puts them pushing for promotion, sitting in fourth.

Louie Barry returns to Edgeley Park for his third spell with the club, but the winger is currently unavailable due to injury. Dave Challinor's side know the quality that the former La Masia player will bring to them ahead of the end-of-season run-in.
