The Premier League's eye-catching summer window transfers

The summer transfer window has closed, and clubs from across the globe have their squad locked in until January. All 20 Premier League clubs were involved in another busy window, and here are some of the most eye-catching deals.

Ibrahima Mbaye to Aston Villa

Aston Villa saw Morgan Rogers depart for Stamford Bridge, but the villains have reinvested their money into Ibrahima Mbaye from PSG. The winger, aged 18, completed a €55m move from the UEFA Super Cup winners to the runners-up.

The Senegal international scored three goals last season, coming in Ligue 1. The teenager has already shown great promise at such a young age, and he will get better year after year for Villa.

Morgan Rogers to Chelsea

Chelsea spent the most on one individual player in the summer window, signing Rogers from Aston Villa. A record fee of £117m was paid for the 24-year-old, making him the most expensive British footballer in history.

He hit the ground running for the Blues, scoring on his competitive debut against Fulham. His goal was crucial, as Xabi Alonso's side won 3-2 at Craven Cottage.

Jack Grealish to Everton

Jack Grealish returns to the Hill Dickinson Stadium for his second loan spell with the club, following his first last season.

The English winger made 20 appearances for the Toffees, scoring twice and assisting eight.

The 30-year-old had numerous offers on the table, but he favoured a return to Merseyside for the second time.

Bradley Barcola to Liverpool

Liverpool have completed the signing of French winger Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain. The 23-year-old has completed a move worth up to £123m overall.

The two-time UEFA Champions League winner has penned a five-year contract with Liverpool, after scoring 13 goals across all competitions for PSG last season.

The winger had a strong World Cup campaign for France, scoring three and assisting one in eight appearances.

Elliot Anderson to Manchester City

Manchester City completed the signing of Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest during the World Cup, for a fee of £116m.

The English midfielder has penned a five-year contract at the Etihad Stadium, and at the time of the deal's completion, he was the most expensive British transfer ever.

The midfielder had a great season for Nottingham Forest last time out, which saw him score against the Cityzens in a 2-2 draw.

Enzo Fernández to Manchester City

Enzo Fernández completed a £120m move from Stamford Bridge to reunite with his former boss Enzo Maresca. The 25-year-old has penned a six-year contract with the Cityzens, who are hoping to win the league for the first time in three seasons.

The Argentina international became Manchester City's final midfielder signing of the summer, joining Anderson and Ayyoub Bouaddi. Combined, City have spent over £300m on thier midfield rebuild.

Carlos Baleba to Manchester United

Manchester United's interest in Carlos Baleba began last summer, and 12 months later, they have their man. The midfielder completed a move worth up to £70m, and he has signed a five-year contract at Old Trafford.

The 22-year-old will miss the first few matches of his Man United career, after suffering an ankle injury during pre-season with Brighton.

Sandro Tonali to Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur spent big in the summer, as they look to avoid a 17th-place finish for the third successive season. Roberto De Zerbi's side completed the signing of midfielder Sandro Tonali for an initial fee of £92.5m, plus £7.5m in add-ons.

The Italian is expected to earn more than £275,000 a week with the club, as he hopes to play a pivotal role in getting the Lilywhites back into Europe.

Mateus Fernandes to Tottenham Hotspur

Mateus Fernandes was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United, but he decided to stay in London and join Tottenham Hotspur over the Red Devils.

The Portuguese midfielder completed an £85m move from the London Stadium over the summer, after scoring three and assisting four in 34 Premier League appearances last season.

The 22-year-old joins the Lilywhites as part of their major summer rebuild, after a poor season last time out. Fernandes is one of Tottenham Hotspur's 10 signings during the window.
