Wigan Athletic suffered a 6-1 loss away against Peterborough United at the weekend, which was Ryan Lowe's final match as head coach of the Tics. After the match, the club confirmed that Lowe had departed the football club, with the side sitting inside the League One relegation zone. They are 22nd in the table, two points away from Doncaster Rovers, who are outside of the relegation zone.

Wigan have failed to win any of their last seven in the league, with their last win coming against Burton Albion on 29th December. The Tics' last two wins in the league have both come against Burton, which are their only two in their last 13 games.

Reading travel to face Wigan tomorrow in League One, and then the Tics travel to the Emirates Stadium to face Arsenal in the FA Cup next Sunday. In the league, three of Wigan's next four opponents are currently inside the top seven, highlighting their difficult run of matches.

The 2013 FA Cup winners will be hoping to cause a huge upset at the weekend when they travel to Arsenal, but right now their full focus will be on their match against Reading on Tuesday.

The club has confirmed Glenn Whelan and Graham Barrow will be working with the first-team squad on an interim basis, as Wigan search for a permanent head coach.

The club will want to try and bring in a replacement for Ryan Lowe as quickly as possible, but their new head coach will almost certainly not be in the dugout for their clash against Reading.

Ryan Lowe was in charge of 38 matches at Wigan, winning 12, drawing 10 and losing 16. In League One, he won seven of his 29 matches as their head coach, drawing 10 and suffering 12 defeats.

Who do you think will replace Ryan Lowe as the club's new head coach?
