Raheem Sterling left Chelsea by mutual agreement earlier on in the week, bringing his three-and-a-half-year stint at the Blues to an end.
The 31-year-old joined Chelsea from Manchester City in 2022 for £47.5 million, making 81 appearances for the club, scoring 19 and assisting 15. He also spent time on loan at Arsenal last season, making 28 appearances, scoring one.
Reports have circulated that the winger wants to stay in London, following his departure from Chelsea. If he was to remain in London, possible clubs for Sterling to join include: Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United, Brentford, Crystal Palace and former club QPR.
The 31-year-old will want to play at the highest level possible, but a potential return to former club Queens Park Rangers could be on the cards.
Across his club career, Sterling has made 599 appearances, scoring 182 and assisting 133. He played the most games for Manchester City, where he featured 339 times, netting 131 times. During his spell at the Etihad Stadium, he won four Premier League titles, five EFL Cups, one FA Cup and one FA Community Shield.
According to Transfermarkt, the winger is currently valued at €5 million despite not playing a match this season. His former club Arsenal have struggled when it comes to attacking players finding the back of the net, so Sterling on a free transfer could potentially be an option for them.
12th place QPR would love to sign the winger on a free transfer, but a huge question would be if Sterling would play in the EFL Championship, and if the club could afford his wages.
Who do you think will sign Raheem Sterling following his release from Chelsea?
