Rangers are hunting down Hearts after being unbeaten in their last 10

Rangers are currently second in the Scottish Premiership, two points behind league leaders Hearts. Rangers won their most recent match, which was against the side at the top of the league, with Chermiti scoring a hat-trick in his team's 4-2 win.

The win sees Danny Röhl's side unbeaten in their last 10 in the league, winning eight and drawing two. The recent form of the team has propelled them up the table and within close proximity of Hearts. While the Gers are second, Celtic could go above them, if Martin O'Neill's team win thier game in hand, which is against Aberdeen.

Rangers last suffered defeat in the league on 21 December, which came against Hearts. The table toppers were victorious at home, 2-1. Since that defeat, Rangers have not lost in the league and have only suffered two losses all season. The tally is the lowest amount of losses for a side in the Scottish Premiership this season. The loss against Hearts was röhl's first defeat in the league since signing as Gers boss.

Up next for Rangers is bottom-of-the-table Livingston, which is then followed by a home match against Celtic in the league. One week later, Rangers again face Celtic at Ibrox, but the second fixture is in the quarter-finals of the Scottish Cup.

Rangers were knocked out of the Europa League during the league phase, meaning their full focus is on domestic competitions.

Chermiti's hat-trick in his last outing will give him great confidence going into three huge matchdays for Rangers in their next three games. James Tavernier has seven league goals this season, which puts the defender level with Chermiti as the club's top goalscorer in the league this campaign so far.
