Queens Park Rangers find themselves 10th in the EFL Championship, with six matches remaining of their regular season. The R's are seven points off the play-offs, but they have started to hit form recently.
The R's have won all of their last three league games, picking up nine points from a possible nine. QPR have beaten Leicester City, Portsmouth and Watford in their last three, and they prepare to take on Preston North End this afternoon away from home. Preston are 15th in the second tier, but only three points separate them and QPR.
The Hoops have won 16 games in their league campaign, having played 40 matches. While QPR have an outside chance of the play-offs, they will need results to go their way if they are to finish in the top seven. However, seventh-place Southampton face Wrexham and Derby County in their next two games, who are sixth and eighth respectively.
QPR face three teams above them in the Championship table, which are Millwall, Derby County and Ipswich Town. If the Hoops are to reach the play-offs, defeating opposition sides who want to finish in the top seven will be an important task on their hands.
Rumarn Burrell, who is QPR's top goalscorer in the league this season, finds himself sidelined due to injury. The forward scored 10 goals in 26 league matches for the Hoops. 22-year-old Richard Kone has scored nine Championship goals this season, in his debut campaign in the second tier.
Do you think QPR will finish in the top seven?
