Plymouth Argyle are in a great run of form, with their most recent match being a 1-0 win at home against Luton Town. Argyle have won seven of their last 10 across all competitions, and sit 14th in League One.
Plymouth hosted Luton Town at Home Park, with the Hatters looking to move into the play-off spots with a win on the road. Although Jack Wilshire's side had the majority of the possession, Plymouth were the winners in the match. The only goal came courtesy of Brendan Galloway, who scored in added time before the half-time break. It's the defender's third goal in four games for the Southcoast side.
The win was Argyle's fourth victory on the bounce across the league and EFL Trophy, as the Greens gain momentum going into the second half of the season. Since 1 December, the Greens have played 12 matches, losing only two. Eight of their results have been wins in those matches, making the team one of the most in-form teams in the division.
Tom Cleverley's side are six points away from the play-off spots, and are the fourth most in-form League One side across the last 10 league games. League leaders Cardiff City have picked up only one more point than Plymouth across their last 10 league matches.
Up next for Plymouth is a home match against Mansfield Town, who have won five of their last six games, drawing one, which was their most recent result against Stevenage. Following Mansfield, Cleverley's men face two sides who sit inside the top five, Stockport County and Lincoln City.
Star striker Lorent Tolaj, who joined the club from Port Vale in the summer, is joint-second in the League One golden boot race, three goals behind the leader, Dominic Ballard. Three other players have scored 12 goals to date in the third-tier, and Tolaj will be looking to finish as high as possible in the rankings. In all competitions, Tolaj has 19 goal involvements in 26 appearances.
Do you think Tom Cleverley's Plymouth Argyle will finish inside the play-offs this season?
