Pep Guardiola has officially announced he will leave Manchester City at the end of the current season. The Spaniard has been with the Cityzens for 10 years, and he has lifted 20 trophies across that period of time.
Guardiola will bow out at the Etihad Stadium, leaving with a domestic double in his final season, after winning the EFL Cup and FA Cup.
Manchester City have confirmed the Spaniard will have the north stand renamed after him, with it becoming the 'Pep Guardiola Stand', and he will also have a statue built of him outside the stand.
News started to break of his departure during Arsenal's 1-0 home win against Burnley on Monday, less than 24 hours before his side's crucial away game against AFC Bournemouth. City had to win the game to take the title race to the final day, but unfortunately, the Cherries drew against the Cityzens, crowning Arsenal as champions.
Guardiola's assistant, Pep Ljinders, has also confirmed that he will leave the club on Sunday, despite being offered a new contract by the Manchester side.
Jurgen Klopp's former assistant has been an important figure in City's success this season, but he will depart this summer.
Enzo Maresca, who was Pep Guardiola's assistant during the treble-winning season, is set to replace the Spaniard in the dugout at Manchester City.
The Italian was sacked by Chelsea in January, following a poor run of form. Maresca will return to the dugout with Manchester City, and his first game in charge of a competitive game will be against Arsenal in the FA Community Shield.
The game will be a great opportunity for Maresca to lift a trophy and secure silverware in his first match as boss, against the Premier League champions.
This summer is going to be crucial for so many teams in the Premier League, and Manchester City are one of those sides.
With a managerial change, there are also player departures expected. Bernardo Silva and John Stones are confirmed to be leaving, while other players' futures have been cast into doubt.
