Marc Guéhi is the current captain of Crystal Palace and has played a huge role in their defence since joining from Chelsea in 2021. The 25-year-old played in all six of Crystal Palace's FA Cup matches last season, which saw the Eagles lift the trophy against Manchester City.
Guéhi captained the South London side at Wembley Stadium that day.
Guéhi also wore the armband during Palace's FA Community Shield win against Liverpool on penalties at the start of this season.
Worryingly for the Eagles, their captain's contract expires this summer and he is yet to pen a new deal with the football club.
Due to his contract expiring in June, multiple clubs are interested in the defender's services.
In a press conference this week, Oliver Glasner said, "If a massive offer comes in from City and Marc wants to do it [move], it will happen." The defender's contract is set to expire this summer, and he is looking increasingly likely to leave Selhurst Park on a free transfer, unless a deal can be done this month.
Glasner added, "There will be a threshold [transfer fee] where the club has to say it will happen - as long as Marc says 'I want to leave', because the final decision is always with the player."
Manchester City's Ruben Días and Joško Gvardiol have both been ruled out of action for up to six weeks and 12 months respectively, due to injury. This could ignite City's interest in a centre-back this window, with Guéhi being a great option.
Liverpool were favourites last summer to sign Guéhi and they were on the verge of signing him in the window, but a deal collapsed.
Do you think Marc Guéhi will leave Crystal Palace this month or will he remain with the club until the end of the season?
