Sheffield United hosted Mansfield Town in the FA Cup at Bramall Lane, with the Blades playing in one league above the Stags.
Sheffield United went into the game following back-to-back wins against Stoke City and Leicester City, while Mansfield went into the cup clash off the back of three wins.
Louis Reed opened the scoring in the 13th minute with a stunning goal, giving the League One side a one-goal advantage. His half-volley from the edge of the box nestled into the top corner, beating the outstretched Adam Davies.
Brazilian midfielder Gustavo Hamer brought the Blades level seven minutes later, as he found the top left corner from long range. The first two goals in the game were incredible, and the score was level at 1-1 after 20 minutes.
Louis Reed was not happy with just one goal from the edge of the box, so he scored another. A clearance from a corner found the midfielder on the edge of the box, who struck the ball on the volley, and it found its way into the goal. On the way towards the net, it did take a deflection, but Reed will not care as he restored the Stags' advantage.
The half-time score was 2-1 to Mansfield Town, who were looking to cause an upset at Bramall Lane.
The second 45 minutes saw four goals scored, with the first two coming for Mansfield. The Stags were 4-1 up after 57 minutes and were thrashing the Blades away from home.
However, two goals from the Championship side in four minutes saw one goal separate the teams after 65 minutes, with the score being 4-3 to Mansfield Town.
It was a chaotic game up to the 65th minute, but the final 25 minutes were goalless. The full-time result was Sheffield United 3-4 Mansfield Town, and the League One side had booked their spot in the fourth round draw on Monday.
