Léo Scienza has played an important role for Southampton this season, in which he has helped the club to finish inside the play-offs and reach the FA Cup semi-finals.

The Brazilian signed for the Saints from German side Heidenheim last summer for a fee just below £8 million. Now, one year on, Southampton will be hoping to more than double that investment, amidst Premier League interest in the winger.

Scienza has played 42 games this season for the South Coast side, scoring seven and assisting 10. All of his goal involvements have come in the EFL Championship, and he will be hoping to add to the tally in the play-offs. Southampton will face Middlesbrough over two legs, with the winner going to the play-off final.

Aston Villa, Leeds United and West Ham United have all been linked with the winger, ahead of the summer transfer window.

Villa are chasing UEFA Champions League football, and they will be hoping they can further strengthen their squad this summer, with European football nearly confirmed for next season. Bringing in Scienza will help to boost their squad numbers-wise, whilst adding good quality to the team in attacking areas.

Leeds United are looking increasingly likely to stay in the Premier League, and they are looking to build on what is set to be a successful season. The Whites have been linked with the 27-year-old recently, and Leeds have had a great track record of signing good players who have played in Germany.

Anton Stach, Ethan Ampadu, Brenden Aaronson, Ilia Gruev and Ao Tanaka are multiple stars who play for Leeds, who have also played in the Bundesliga, and the club will be hoping to add Scienza to the list.

West Ham United have shopped at the St. Mary's Stadium before in search of a midfielder, where they signed Mateus Fernandes. The Portuguese midfielder's wonderful 2025/26 season has seen him linked with moves away from the London Stadium, and Manchester United have reportedly been interested in him.

If Southampton fail to get promoted to the Premier League this season, then a potential departure would be made more likely.

While Scienza will not be short of options in the summer, Southampton will want to make sure that their asking price for the Brazilian is met, to ensure they get a good deal out of the transfer if he does depart.

Last season, Tyler Dibling left the Saints and joined Everton, and another winger could leave Southampton in search of a Premier League move.

Do you think Léo Scienza will leave Southampton this summer, and if he does, who will he join?
