Enzo Maresca left Chelsea on New Year's Day, following a reported falling out between him and the club's hierarchy.
This left Chelsea without a permanent head coach for their away match against Manchester City. Under-21 coach Carlum McFarlane was the interim boss for the game, as he oversaw a 1-1 draw at the Etihad Stadium.
Two days after the match vs Man City, Chelsea officially announced their new head coach. Liam Rosenior signed a two-year contract with the Blues, moving from French side Strasbourg.
Strasbourg and Chelsea are both owned by BlueCo, making the deal for the head coach easier. Rosenoir's Strasbourg sat seventh in the Ligue 1 table at the time of his departure from the club, while sitting top of the Conference League.
The Englishman has previous experiences of managing in England, as he was the boss of Hull City before leaving for France, and was interim manager of Derby County for 12 games.
Rosenior won 14 of the 26 games he managed to date this season, as he looks to add more wins under his belt in the dugout at Stamford Bridge.
His first test as Chelsea head coach will be against Fulham on Wednesday, followed by an away match against Championship side Charlton Athletic in the FA Cup.
The last four results for Chelsea have seen three draws and one loss, with their last win coming against Cardiff City in the EFL Cup on December 16th.
What do you think of the appointment of Liam Rosenior as the new Chelsea head coach?
