10 years ago, Leicester City were Premier League champions. 10 years on, they have been relegated from the Championship, and will play in League One next season. The Foxes have had a really poor season, and they have suffered back-to-back relegations. Leicester City's relegation has been confirmed following their 2-2 draw against Hull City last night.

The Foxes, who lifted the FA Cup just five years ago, will now be competing in the third tier of English football. They will potentially be playing alongside former Premier League sides such as Bradford City, Luton Town, Huddersfield Town, Bolton Wanderers, Wigan Athletic, Reading and Blackpool.

10 years ago, Leicester City lifted the Premier League title and were crowned champions of England, and booked their spot in the Champions League for the following campaign. That same year, Stockport County finished 13th in the National League North, which is the sixth tier of English football.

The Hatters were a part-time club, but 10 years on, they could potentially leapfrog the Foxes in terms of league status this season, if they get promoted through the play-offs.

Leicester City will now have a long summer ahead of themselves, as they look to climb out of League One at the first time of asking. But it won't be easy. Luton Town, who were relegated from the Premier League two years ago, are currently outside the League One play-offs in seventh.

Jack Wilshere's team are three points outside of the play-offs, with two games remaining in the season. Despite the investment into the playing squad being substantial, the league has proven to be extremely competitive and difficult to master.

Leicester City will be receiving parachute payments following their relegation from the Premier League two seasons ago, which will give the club extra finances to bolster the club. But reports have circulated that Leicester City could face financial difficulties, as the club took a loan to receive the majority of their Premier League parachute payments in January of this year.

Current players who are at the club include: Harry Winks, Asmir Begovic, Ricardo Pereira, Oliver Skipp, Jordan Ayew and Patson Daka.

The huge wage bill will be a big problem for the Foxes, who will have to cut their spending yet again, following their second relegation in as many seasons.

Manager Gary Rowett has confirmed he will leave the football club at the end of the current season, meaning the Foxes will be looking for a huge reshaping of the team this summer.

How do you think Leicester City will do next season in League One?
