EFL Championship side Leicester City have confirmed the appointment of Gary Rowett as their new first-team manager. Rowett was officially announced by the Foxes yesterday, with their new boss looking to end their seven-game winless run.

The 2015-16 Premier League winners are currently in a relegation battle, as they sit 22nd in the table. A two-point gap to West Brom sees the Foxes in the relegation zone, as they fight for survival. Last season, they were playing Premier League football, and next season, they could be in League One.

Gary Rowett has a huge challenge on his hands, and he has been given the job until the end of the season. The manager has previously managed five EFL Championship teams, and he is a former Leicester City player.

Leicester lost all four matches under interim boss Andy King, and have not won a league game since 5 January. The Foxes have the second-worst run of form over the last five games in the division, picking up just one point in those games.

What do you think of the appointment of Gary Rowett, and do you think he will keep Leicester in the Championship?
