Social media star and celebrity JJ Olatunji, better known as KSI, recently announced that he had become the co-owner of a non-league football club.

The team in question is Dagenham and Redbridge in the National League South. The Daggers currently sit 13th in the table and face top-of-the-league Dorking Wanderers in their next match. KSI has confirmed he will be at the match this weekend, which will be at Dagenham's home stadium, Victoria Road.

Dagenham are six points off the play-offs with 11 games left in the regular season. While the play-offs are not out of reach, the side will need to hit form quickly to climb up the positions in the table.

Alongside KSI, Andy Carroll is also a co-owner of the non-league side, with the former Liverpool and Newcastle United striker playing for the club this season. However, he has been sidelined due to injury. The forward picked up nine goal involvements in just 16 appearances for the side when he was playing. He scored a hat-trick against AFC Totton, back in November as well.

Dagenham and Redbridge face difficult opponents between now and the rest of the season, with them facing all of the current top four between now and the end of the season.

The new investment in the football club could give the team a big momentum boost, going into the crucial run-in which is coming up in the following months.

The ambitious co-owners will want to get the football club into the EFL as quickly as they can, but do you think Dagenham and Redbridge will reach League Two under their new owners?
