Kenan Yildiz: The 20-year-old star shining for Juventus

20-year-old Kenan Yildiz signed for Juventus on a free transfer from Bayern Munich in 2022.

The Turkey international never made a first-team appearance for Bayern, but he took his chance in Italy at Juventus when it was presented to him.

He made his debut for Juve on November 25th 2023 vs Udinese aged 18. It was his first game for the club and to date, he has played 109 times for the Old Lady in all competitions. The young star has scored 23 goals in addition to his 19 assists in those 109 games.

Yildiz has featured on the left wing and centrally in attacking midfield this season, providing Juventus with versatility at the top end of the pitch.

This campaign, Yildiz has scored seven goals in 25 appearances, while setting up eight goals. In Juve's last eight wins, the 20-year-old has six goal involvements across those matches.

Last season Yildiz got four assists in Serie A, and he has already matched that number after only 15 games this campaign. He is also only one league goal behind the seven he scored during the 2024/25 season in the league.

In the Serie A golden boot race, he is currently sixth, but he is Juve's top goalscorer in the league.

Luciano Spalletti's side currently sit fifth in the league table, losing just one of their last 11 in Serie A. Their next game is against Cremonese, who sit mid-table.

For Turkey, he has scored three goals in five World Cup qualifying games, as he looks to add to his goal tally when his nation takes on Romania. Turkey need to win to reach the final stage of World Cup qualifying, to book a spot in this year's summer tournament.

Kenan Yildiz has a transfer market value of €75 million according to Transfermarkt, making him the third-highest valued footballer to be born in 2005. He is behind Paris Saint-Germain's Désiré Doué and Real Madrid's Arda Güler, with both valued at €90 million.
