Kasper Høgh hits a high for Celtic with a first-half hat-trick

Celtic's club-record signing Kasper Høgh scored a first-half hat-trick for his side against Kilmarnock. The striker netted all three in the first 35 minutes, as Celtic won 5-1 away from home. The £11m man did not score on his debut against Dundee, but he made up for his performance with a sublime hat-trick in game two.
The Bhoys hit the ground running at Rugby Park as Arne Engels' cross to the back post met the head of Høgh, and he could not miss. His header from one yard out found the back of the net, and he was up and running for Celtic.
In the 33rd minute, Benjamin Nygren laid off Høgh inside the box, and the striker had his second of the game. The 25-year-old's shot was too powerful for Maksymillian Stryjek, who dived low to his left but could not keep the shot out.
Celtic were two up, and Kasper Høgh was in-form. Two minutes later, things went even better for the Danish forward.
Similar to his first goal, the striker found himself in space close to goal, and he headed home his and Celtic's third of the match. As the ball met the striker's head, he guided his strike home into an open net, and the three points were secured just after half an hour had been played.
Although Kasper's clinical goalscoring ended there for the day, Celtic's did not.
The Hoops went on to score five goals in total against Kilmarnock, winning 5-1 on the road. The result leaves Celtic top of the table, with two games played. They have a better goal difference than St. Mirren by two, and the Hoops will be hoping to remain top until the final day.
Martin O'Neil's side are now preparing for their next fixture, which is against Dundee United in the League Cup. After their cup fixture, they then take on LASK in the UEFA Champions League qualifying round, playing the first leg away from home.
Celtic will be hoping Høgh can continue his hot streak of form into those fixtures, and build momentum for the rest of the campaign.
