John Stones will leave Manchester City this summer after 10 years with the club

John Stones has confirmed he will leave Manchester City at the end of the season. The defender joined City from Everton in 2016 for £47.5 million. Since signing for the club, the 31-year-old has lifted 18 trophies in seven different competitions.
To date, he has played 293 games for the Cityzens, scoring 19 goals. The former Everton and Barnsley defender will also be hoping to lift the Premier League and FA Cup in his final weeks with the Manchester club.
Stones was an important figure in Manchester City's treble-winning season, which saw him drift into midfield from defence and cause huge problems for opposing teams. Now, the defender is available on a free transfer this summer, and he will not be short of offers.
While no frontrunner has been made clear yet, one club rumoured to be interested in John Stones is Everton. The Merseyside club was his previous home before Manchester City, and he made 95 appearances for the Toffees, scoring once.
The defender will also be hoping to be a. part of England's World Cup squad this summer, which could also gain clubs' attentions depending on his performances if he features at the tournament. For the Three Lions, Stones has made 87 appearances since making his debut in 2014, aged 20.
John Stones has said, "It [Manchester City] has been my home for the past 10 years, and it will be my home for the rest of my life. It has been a rollercoaster in many ways. I came as a kid and now leaving as a man - becoming a father, a husband and, on the pitch, a very fulfilled player. I lived all my dreams out and lifted all the things that I came here to achieve."
