Plymouth Argyle had a bumpy start to life back in League One this season, with the club failing to pick up a single point in their opening four matches.

Tom Cleverley's men then lost only two of their next seven in the league, helping the team build momentum after a tricky start.

But between October and November, another bump in the road hit Argyle. They only picked up one win in all competitions across the two months, playing nine times.

However, December has proven to be a good month for the Southern side, who have won four of their last five in all competitions.

The month started off with an away win against Leyton Orient, thanks to a 90th-minute winner from striker Lorent Tolaj, who signed for Argyle from Port Vale in the summer.

Then a 1-0 home defeat followed, which came against high-flying Bradford City. Former Plymouth midfielder Antoni Sarcevic scored the only goal in the game.

But three straight wins followed the loss to Bradford City.

A 1-0 win away against Wycombe Wanderers came next, and another 1-0 win followed vs Rotherham United.

But the most impressive win of the three came yesterday, as Doncaster Rovers were thumped at home 5-1. Both sides were sat in the relegation zone before kick-off, but at full-time, Argyle were sat 17th in the table.

Tolaj was on the scoresheet once again, as he scored a hat-trick. He has now been involved in five goals across his last two appearances. His season goal tally currently sits at 13, with 10 of those coming in the league. The 24-year-old is leading the golden boot race in League One.

With Plymouth Argyle out of the relegation zone and posing the fourth-best run of form over the last five matches in the league, do you think Cleverley's side will stay up this season?
