Igor Thiago and Joao Pedro have both found themselves amongst the goals this season for their respective clubs and have caught the eyes of many with their impressive performances.
Brentford's Igor Thiago has scored 21 goals this season, while Chelsea's Joao Pedro has scored 18. In the Premier League, Thiago has scored four more than Pedro, but Chelsea's striker has featured in the UEFA Champions League this season, scoring three goals in the competition.
Both strikers are aged 24, and they both pose a threat in front of goal. However, for Brazil, it seems like only one of them will start. Vinicius Junior will more likely than not be the country's choice off the left wing, while the right wing position is up for debate, but Estevao seems to be leading the way for the position. The recent injury to Rodrygo will be a blow for the national team, as the Real Madrid winger will be absent from this summer's World Cup.
Joao Pedro has featured for the Brazilian national team before, while Thiago has not. Chelsea's forward has played six times for his country but has failed to score in any of those matches.
Thiago has put his name into the headlines after a superb season with Brentford, who are also shining in the Premier League. Brentford's striker is currently second in the Premier League's golden boot race, four goals behind Erling Haaland and three ahead of Antoine Semenyo.
Joao Pedro is fourth in the golden boot race.
Chelsea's striker has been in hot form recently, scoring 10 goals across his last 10 games. Three of those goals came against Aston Villa, with the forward scoring a hat-trick against Villa away from home. He also picked up an assist in the game as well, seeing him involved in all of Chelsea's goals in the game.
In the next international break, Brazil will face France and Croatia. The upcoming friendlies will prove to be crucial for the team and Carlo Ancelotti, who will be searching to know his best starting XI ahead of this summer's competition. Brazil face Morocco, Haiti and Scotland in their group at the tournament.
