Brentford won 3-0 against Sunderland on Tuesday, with Igor Thiago scoring a brace for the Bees.

The win took Brentford up to fifth in the Premier League table at full-time.

Brentford have picked up 13 points from their last five games, winning four of them.

Igor Thiago is second in the Premier League golden boot race, on 16 goals from 21 appearances. He is four goals behind Erling Haaland, who leads the golden boot race with 20 goals.

The 24-year-old has now scored five goals in his last two appearances, winning Player of the Match in both games.

Last season, Igor Thiago played eight league games for Brentford, but did not score in any of those matches. His season was cut short due to an ACL injury, but this campaign has been a memorable one for the right reasons.

Up next for the Bees is Sheffield Wednesday in the FA Cup, followed by Chelsea away from home. Thiago will be aiming to continue his hot streak in front of goal by booking Brentford's spot in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

The Brazilian is yet to make his international debut, but with his form this campaign, Carlo Ancelotti will no doubt be looking at giving Thiago his first international call-up.

With the 2026 World Cup coming up in the summer, do you think the Brentford forward will be in the Brazil squad?
