Lee Grant's promotion-chasing Huddersfield Town took on Port Vale at home yesterday. The Terriers sat in seventh place prior to the match, one spot outside the play-offs.
Port Vale went into the game sitting at the bottom of League One, seven points away from the team above them in the table. Darren Moore's side had won just two points from their previous five going into the game, while Huddersfield had picked up six.
It was a lightning-fast start from the hosts, as Leo Castledine netted after five minutes. 10 minutes later, the Terriers doubled their advantage, thanks to former Preston North End midfielder Ryan Ledson.
13 minutes from half-time, Lee Grant's team scored their third of the half through Serbia's Bojan Radulovic, who helped his side lead at the break 3-0.
Similar to the first half, the Terriers started quickly in the second 45, and Alfie May scored his team's fourth goal after 50 minutes. The 32-year-old scored his first goal in six games and wrapped up the three points for his team.
Just two minutes shy of the hour mark, Castledine scored his second of the game, taking the Chelsea loanee's goal tally for the season up to nine. The 20-year-old has scored seven goals in his last seven appearances for the Town.
Up next for Huddersfield Town is a home game against Northampton Town, who lost 5-1 yesterday against Burton Albion.
Lee Grant's men are now unbeaten in their last four matches, accumulating eight points from a maxmimum of 12.
Where do you think both Huddersfield Town and Port Vale will finish in League One this campaign?
