Destiny Udogie set to miss 'four to five weeks' Thomas Frank confirms

Tottenham Hotspur suffered a disappointing 2-0 defeat away against Manchester United at the weekend, with Destiny Udogie being substituted off during the match. In the 55th minute, the Italian left-back was brought off due to injury, which Thomas Frank has confirmed to be a 'hamstring injury.

The defender is set to be out for 'four to five weeks', according to the Spurs boss, who is under huge pressure to turn Tottenham Hotspur's form around. The North London side has only picked up two league wins in their last 16 games, leaving them six points above the relegation zone.

Brazilian left-back Souza, who was signed during the winter window from Santos, made his Spurs debut away against Manchester United, with him replacing Udogie. Tottenham will also be without Cristian Romero for their next four matches, as the Argentine centre-back picked up a straight red card, which is his second of the Premier League season.

This season, Udogie has had a campaign scattered with injury, as he was only back for five matches before picking up his most recent injury against United. The 23-year-old has played 13 league games of the season, out of the 25 Spurs have played this season.

While the club have a huge injury crisis, they luckily have a back-up in the left-back position, which is their new signing Souza. The 19-year-old played 35 minutes at Old Trafford on Saturday, which was his Spurs debut.
