Wrexham have completed the signing of Davis Keillor-Dunn from League One side Barnsley, for a reported fee of £2 million. The 28-year-old has signed a three-and-a-half-year deal with the Welsh side and his move was completed on deadline day.
The Championship side currently sit sixth in the table, and occupy one of the play-off spots. They are two points ahead of Derby County, who are seventh, and sit outside the play-offs. Wrexham have won six of their last eight league matches, which has seen the side climb up the league table quickly.
The side's next league match is against Millwall, who are fifth in the table. Three points separate the two teams, and the game will be a huge six-pointer, which is being played at Wrexham's Racecourse Ground. The Lions, who are the away team, go into the game off the back of a 1-1 draw with Sheffield United, while Wrexham go into the game following a 1-0 win vs Sheffield Wednesday.
Keillor-Dunn departs Barnsley after signing for the club back in 2024, where he scored 35 goals in 78 appearances. The 28-year-old is prolific in front of goal, with him scoring 110 career goals to date. He has previously played for Wrexham, where during his short time with the Welsh side back in 2020, he scored once across six appearances.
The attacker leaves Barnsley after scoring 13 league goals this season, seeing him sit third in League One's golden boot race. The Tykes currently sit 15th in the table, five points above the relegation zone. The Yorkshire side have won only three of their last eleven games in the league, putting them 12 points away from the play-offs.
Barnsley won their most recent match against Stevenage 3-1, and Keillor-Dunn scored a brace for the Reds, helping them clinch a crucial win.
