Chelsea's poor Premier League form continues after facing Nottingham Forest

Chelsea have lost all of their last six Premier League matches, suffering defeats to Nottingham Forest, Brighton, Manchester United, Manchester City, Everton and Newcastle United.

The Blues scored just one goal across those six games, which was netted by Joao Pedro as a consolation goal against Forest yesterday. Albeit a goal that did not affect the scoreline hugely, the Brazilian scored a superb overhead kick in the 93rd minute.

After losing 3-0 against Brighton, Chelsea sacked Liam Rosenior and confirmed Calum McFarlane as their new interim head coach until the end of the season. Since McFarlane took over temporarily for a second spell, he has won one and lost one.

He defeated Leeds United in the semi-finals to reach the FA Cup final, but in his most recent Premier League game, the Blues lost 3-1.

Chelsea's European push took a huge blow on Monday, and they sit ninth. They find themselves three points off the Conference League spots, and four off the Europa League places. Chelsea were expected to be in the UEFA Champions League race, but their poor form has seen their top-five push derail massively over recent gameweeks.

Chelsea have won just two Premier League matches since the start of February, against Aston Villa and Wolves. The Blues have hit a big bump results-wise, and they find themselves 19th in the form table across the last 10 games in the league.

Up next for the Blues is a crucial league game against Liverpool at Anfield this weekend. Liverpool will be hoping to bounce back from their disappointing weekend loss against Manchester United, while Chelsea are desperate to get a win under their belt, a week before the FA Cup final.

The next four games for Chelsea are Liverpool, Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, and Sunderland. McFarlane's side's best chance of securing European football this seaosn could be through winning the FA Cup, which would secure Europa League football.

What are your thoughts on Chelsea's recent form?
