Celtic level late in the Old Firm Derby at Ibrox

The Old Firm Derby saw Rangers host Celtic, as both sides were looking to win to move closer to league leaders Hearts. The side in first won 1-0 on Saturday against Aberdeen, which saw them seven points clear of second-place Rangers, prior to the game at Ibrox.
Before kick-off, Rangers were second in the league with 56 points, while Celtic were on 54 points, but Martin O'Neill's team have a game in hand over first and second in the Scottish Premiership.
Rangers started the better of the two, with Chermiti opening the scoring. An audacious overhead-kick from the Portuguese striker saw the hosts find themselves in the lead, through a spectacular goal.
18 minutes after opening the scoring, Chermiti scored his second of the game, and Danny Röhl's team were eyeing up three points against their biggest rivals. But there was always going to be twists and turns in a fixture like this.
Kieran Tierney pulled a goal back for the away side in the 56th minute, setting up an exciting final 35 minutes. In the 90th minute, Celtic were awarded a penalty and were hoping to rescue a point late on in the game.
Reo Hatate stepped up to the spot, and Jack Butland denied him, but the Celtic star followed up his shot and scored at the third time of asking. Butland denied Hatate's first rebound, but the substitute scored at the third time of asking.
The full-time whistle was blown with the score level at 2-2, seeing both sides pick up a point. Rangers are six points behind league leaders Hearts, while Celtic are eight points off first.
Celtic's next match is against Aberdeen in the week, which is their game in hand. Rangers' next match is against Celtic in the Scottish Cup, which is being played next weekend.
