Bradford City were playing League One football for the first time in seven seasons this season, following their dramatic late promotion last season on the final day.

The Bantams showed very early on this season that they were going to compete at the top end of the table, and they did that. The Yorkshire outfit ended up finishing fourth in the table, picking up 77 points from 46 games. They picked up 22 wins from their 46 played, showing their strength in the league. Only goal difference separated them from third-place Stockport County.

At Valley Parade, the Bantams were extremely strong, having the third-best home record in the division. They picked up 50 points from their 23 league home matches during the 25/26 season.

34-year-old Antoni Sarcevic was the club's leading top goalscorer in the league, netting 11 goals in 40 appearances. Bobby Pointon was closely behind, scoring 10 in 34.

In defence, the side was extremely strong, conceding just 51 goals. They had the second-best defence in the division, with Lincoln City being the only team to concede fewer, letting in 50. Sam Walker played in all 46 league games in the campaign and kept 14 clean sheets.

Bradford City were unfortunately knocked out of the play-offs to Bolton Wanderers, who went on to gain promotion to the EFL Championship. Although the season ended in defeat, it was one that Bradford City will be immensely proud of.

The big question for the Bantams is whether they can continue their impressive form going into next season and look to strengthen their squad this summer.
