Antoine Griezmann has completed a move to Major League Soccer side Orlando City. The Frenchman will finish the 2025-26 season with Atlético Madrid, before moving to Orlando City in July. The World Cup winner has signed a deal that will run until the end of the 2027-28 season, with an option for a further year.
The forward will wear the number seven shirt with the Florida side, who currently sit 13th in the Eastern Conference, out of 15 teams. They have suffered four losses from their opening five in the league, winning once.
The French forward will join his new club in the summer and look to continue his impressive goal-scoring career in a new league. This campaign so far across all competitions Griezmann has netted 13 goals for Atléti.
The 35-year-old has played 488 games for Atlético Madrid, scoring 211 goals for the club. Across his whole club career, Griezmann has scored 298 goals. His whole career has seen him play in Spain, for Real Sociedad, Atlético Madrid and Barcelona. For the first time in his career, Griezmann will play in a league outside of the top two tiers in Spain.
Bar his debut season for Real Sociedad, Griemzmann has played all of his league seasons in La Liga, for three different clubs.
Last season in the MLS, Orlando City finished inside the play-offs, but suffered defeat in the first round of the MLS play-off fixtures. In the league campaign, they scored 63 goals, making them one of the highest-scoring teams in the league across the season.
Martin Ojeda was Orlando City's top goalscorer in the league last season, netting 16 goals. The second-highest goalscorer for the club was Marco Pasalić, who scored 12.
During Atlético's first-leg UEFA Champions League match against Spurs, the Frenchman scored once and picked up two assists, which helped his team reach the next stage of the competition.
Griezmann could lift his last piece of silverware with Atléti against his former club, Real Sociedad, in the Copa del Rey final. The 35-year-old will be hoping to end his journey with Atlético Madrid with silverware in his final season.
