Amario Cozier-Duberry joined Bolton Wanderers on loan at the start of the season from Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion. Cozier-Duberry, aged 20, has been involved in 22 goals since signing for the Wanderers on loan last summer.
The winger has scored 10 goals this season for the Wanderers, and he netted against Bradford City in the first leg of Bolton's play-off semi-finals. Amario Cozier-Duberry scored on the hour mark at home, with his goal being the difference between the two sides. The loanee received the ball inside the Bantams' box and curled home, beating the Bradford City keeper, who was rooted to the spot.
Despite scoring once, he should have had a brace. The winger capitalised on a poor pass out from the back by a Bantams defender, and he burst through on goal before hitting the post. The tie is 1-0 in favour of Bolton Wanderers, but the second leg will be huge in Yorkshire as Bradford have home advantage.
The second leg is at Valley Parade, Bradford City's home stadium. The winner of the second leg on Thursday will face either Stevenage or Stockport County at Wembley Stadium.
For Cozier-Duberry, his future is uncertain, with him heavily impressing in the third tier. The Brighton winger spent last season on loan at Championship side Blackburn Rovers, playing 22 games for the club. He netted once during his loan spell, but he has been heavily involved in goals since signing for the Wanderers at the start of the 2025/26 season.
While he has not just stood out for his goalscoring, his creativity has been crucial for Bolton as well. He has set up 12 goals for the club, helping the side finish fourth in League One.
The winger missed two months of action due to a knee injury, which saw him sidelined for a lengthy period of time. If the 20-year-old was available for those games, his goal involvements would have been higher.
Do you think Cozier-Duberry will help Bolton win promotion to the EFL Championship this season?
