Mo Salah has confirmed he will leave Liverpool at the end of the 2025-26 season. The Egyptian King has been with the Merseyside club since joining in 2017, from AS Roma. In a deal worth an initial £36.5 million, the signing has proven to be a hugely successful one, which has seen Salah lift nine trophies.

The winger has featured 435 times for the Reds, scoring 255 goals. On top of his incredible goal tally, he also has 122 assists, with the forward sitting third in the club's all-time goalscorers list. He is only behind Roger Hunt and Ian Rush.

Salah had an extremely impressive season last campaign, where he scored 34 goals in 52 appearances. 29 goals were in the Premier League, across 38 games. In the Premier League, he also picked up an impressive 18 assists, which made him a standout player last season.

This season, Salah has scored 10 goals in all competitions for Liverpool, in 34 appearances. Five of his goals have come in the Premier League, while three have been in the UEFA Champions League, and two have been in the FA Cup.

With the end in sight for Salah at Liverpool, he will want to depart Anfield with a trophy. While the Premier League seems out of reach, the Reds are still in the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup.

The Merseyside club face Manchester City in the next round of the FA Cup, and they take on PSG in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

The big concern for Liverpool will be who they will look to as a replacement for Mo Salah. Federico Chiesa has played off the right wing from the bench, but questions will be raised as to whether he is a strong enough replacement.

Young teenager Rio Ngumoha could be looked at as a future right winger for the club, but to put pressure on the teen at such a young age to replace Salah could be detrimental.

Liverpool spent plenty last summer, and they will no doubt have to pay a big fee for a world-class replacement to play on the right. The question is, who will they go for?
