Fermín López has had an outstanding 2025-26 season for Barcelona so far, which has seen him play an important part in the Catalan side's success across all competitions. Barça are top of La Liga, in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals, and won the Supercopa de España, defeating Real Madrid in the final 3-2.

Across all competitions, Fermín has played 39 games for Barcelona, scoring 12. Along with his 12 goals, he also has 16 assists. In his nine matches in the UEFA Champions League, Fermín has picked up 10 goal involvements. Six of those goal involvements has seen López score for Hansi Flick's side, as they prepare to take on Atlético Madrid in the quarter-finals of the competition.

The attacking midfielder has played in 23 of Barça's 29 league matches this season, with the Spaniard playing a big role in the side sitting top of the league. The Catalan side has won 24 of their 29 league games and they have a four-point lead over Real Madrid.

The 22-year-old will be hoping to be a part of Spain's upcoming World Cup squad, and if he continues with his current form, he will be a part of the squad. He featured for his nation twice in the most recent international break, picking up an assist in one of those matches.

His best run of form this season came during the first three weeks of the year, as he picked up 10 goal involvements in eight matches for Barcelona.
