Fermín López is currently in fine form for Barcelona

Fermín López has played 20 games this season for Barcelona in all competitions, scoring eight goals and getting eight assists. The 22-year-old has stood out in his last two appearances for Barça, getting five goal involvements in those games.
Against city rivals Espanyol away from home, Fermín came off the bench and got both assists for Barcelona's goals against the side, with the reigning league champions winning 2-0.
In his most recent game for Barça, he scored and got two assists against Athletic Club, as Barcelona booked their spot in the Supercopa de España final, where they will play against Real Madrid.
The La Masia graduate has made 13 appearances in La Liga, scoring four and assisting four. In the UEFA Champions League, he has played in five games, scoring three and assisting two. He has five goal involvements in five matches in the competition.
The attacking midfielder is currently valued at €70 million and was linked with a possible move to Chelsea in the summer. His contract with the Catalan club is valid until 2029, so Chelsea would have to pay a big fee if they were to get Fermín permanently in the future.
Up next for Barcelona is Real Madrid in the Supercopa de España final, with López undoubtedly hoping to start. His recent form has been brilliant, and if he does start in the final, it would be deserved.
After facing Real Madrid, Barça take on Racing Santander in the Copa del Rey, before returning to league action against Real Sociedad.
