Porto are currently top of the Liga Portugal table, with a seven-point gap to second-place Sporting CP. Porto are looking to win their first league title in four seasons this campaign, and they are on course to do so. They have won 23 of their 27 league matches so far this season, and are unbeaten in their last seven in Liga Portugal.

This season, they have scored 54 goals in the league and have only conceded 11. They are the third-highest scorers in the division, but they have the best defence out of all 18 teams in the Liga Portugal.

They are also competing in the UEFA Europa League, and are in the Taça de Portugal semi-finals, but they find themselves 1-0 down on aggregate to Sporting CP.

Multiple players have stood out for Porto this season, and their squad seems to be improving week by week. The Dragons have only lost two matches this year in all competitions, with their defeats coming against Sporting and Casa Pia.

William Gomes, Samu Omorodion and Oskar Pietuszewski have all featured in attack for Porto this campaign, and all three are aged 21 or below. Their impressive individual seasons will no doubt see them be linked with multiple clubs from across the globe, and they will all be hoping to feature at this summer's World Cup. The three forwards have scored a combined total of 36 goals in all competitions, which has helped Porto pick up crucial wins this season.

In midfield, Victor Froholdt (20), Rodrigo Mora (18), Gabri Veiga (23) and Alan Varela (24) have been great in the centre of the park for the Dragons, and the four players still have plenty of time to develop further in their careers.

Rodrigo Mora, aged 18, made his senior debut for the club last season, and he has one and a half seasons under his belt of playing at the highest level possible. To date, he has played 71 times for Porto, and he has already picked up silverware with Portugal. He was a part of the UEFA Nations League squad that won the competition last year. Despite him being in the squad, he is yet to make his debut for the nation.

In defence, Alberto Costa (22) and Martim Fernandes (20) have both featured frequently for the side, playing a combined total of 66 games. Alberto Costa, formerly of Juventus, has picked up six assists for the side in the Liga Portugal from right-back. Fernandes has also played at right-back for Porto, but due to injury, his appearances this season have been lower than Costa's.

Porto's squad is full of talent and plenty of players will have interest from European clubs, due to their brilliant seasons so far. Porto will be hoping to maintain their talented squad, but if players are to leave, the transfer fees will be high due to the superb ability of their players.
