Oldham Athletic are currently sitting 13th in League Two, on 52 points from 35 games. The Latics have played the least amount of matches across every team in the league; therefore, they have games in hand over teams around them.

If the Latics win both of their games in hand, then they could potentially sit one point off the play-offs. Micky Mellon's team are in good form, and they have picked up 17 points from a possible 21 in their last seven league games.

The side has kept five clean sheets in those seven games, scoring 12. Micky Mellon's son, Michael, is currently the club's top goalscorer in League Two this season so far. However, the striker has been out of action due to injury since Boxing Day.

Oldham Athletic are unbeaten in their last seven league games, winning five and drawing two. Their last match was against Grimsby Town, who are eighth in the league and are three points off the play-offs. Oldham won the game 1-0 through Josh Hawkes, who scored his third league goal of the campaign.

Since December 13th, Oldham have lost three of their last 16 games, seeing them sit sixth in the league's form guide across the last 20 games. In their last five matches, they have the joint-best form in the division, level with MK Dons.

Oldham's next game is a crucial away match against Chesterfield, who are in seventh position, inside the play-offs. If Oldham are to make a late play-off surge, then they have a great opportunity to hurt a team inside the play-offs and get closer to the top seven.

Oldham will be hoping that they can continue their impressive run of form across their remaining 11 league games. 33 points are up for grabs, and they are only seven points away from the play-offs. Will they finish in the top seven?
