Neymar Jr scored a brace last night for Santos, as his side drew 2-2 with Flamengo.

Santos trailed 2-0 in the game, but with Flamengo receiving a red card, it provided an opportunity for the hosts to get back into the match.

Former Chelsea and Arsenal midfielder Jorginho received a straight red card, and Santos were awarded a penalty. Up stepped Neymar in the 82nd minute, who coolly slotted home for his side.

Eight minutes remained in the match, giving the hosts plenty of time to find an equaliser.

Santos were awarded yet another penalty five minutes on, and Neymar stepped up once again. The 34-year-old made no mistakes from 12 yards out, and brought his team level.

The hosts were 2-0 down with less than 10 minutes left of play, but come the 88th minute, they were level.

Flamengo sit top of the Serie A Betano by one point. But they missed the opportunity to extend their gap at the top to 3, after dropping two points away against Santos last night.

Santos sit in eighth place and have Neymar Jr to thank for their late point versus the league leaders.

The former PSG and Barcelona winger returned to action for the first time in seven games against Flamengo, and delivered on his return.

Santos are now preparing to face seventh-place Atletico-MG in their next match, who sit one league spot above them.
