The English winger departed Old Trafford in the summer on loan, signing for FC Barcelona. The La Liga champions have an option-to-buy in the deal with Manchester United for Rashford, with the fee believed to be around £40 million.
Last season, Marcus Rashford departed Manchester United in January for Aston Villa, where he made 17 appearances for the Villains, being involved in 10 goals. He scored four and assisted six for Unai Emery’s side.
During the summer, Barça completed a deal for the Englishman, and he has been thriving in Catalonia this season.
Rashford has 18 goal involvements in 23 appearances, and he has also earned a spot in England’s recent international squads.
The winger scored his first two goals for Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League, against Newcastle United.
He announced himself to the Barcelona fans by scoring a brace in his team’s 2-1 win at St. James’ Park.
Barcelona are currently top of La Liga by four points, and have lost only one of their last 11 matches in all competitions. The club have also returned to the Camp Nou, with a feel-good factor returning to the side.
Hansi Flick's side have won all of their nine home matches this season in the league, earning 27 points. They have the best home record out of all 20 La Liga teams this campaign.
The big question regarding Marcus Rashford and Barcelona is will the Spanish giants complete the permanent transfer for the winger. With an option available to Hansi Flick's side, the final decision remains in their hands.
