Manchester United interested in Aurélien Tchouaméni

Manchester United are looking to strengthen thier midfield this summer, with the departure of Casemiro confirmed. Manuel Ugarte's future with the Red Devils has been cast into doubt, which could prompt United to make multiple midfield signings.

A recent name linked with Old Trafford is Real Madrid's Aurélien Tchouaméni, according to James Ducker from The Telegraph. The journalist has said Manchester United are keeping a close eye on the midfielder, who could be viewed as a Casemiro replacement.

The Frenchman, who has been in La Liga since xxx, has made x appearances for Real Madrid in all competitions. Tchouaméni has won x UEFA Champions League titles with the club, but he could be set for a new adventure in the summer.

If Manchester United qualify for the UEFA Champions League, the attractiveness to join the club will increase, as they will be playing in one of the biggest club competitions in world football.

Kobbie Mainoo has been heavily linked with a new contract at Manchester United, which would see him remain at the club for numerous years to come. The Red Devils will be looking to cement a partner for him in midfield, and Tchouaméni could be that man.

Having someone with Champions League experience will be appealing to United, as they search for a Casemiro replacement and extra players in the middle of the park.

Other names in the middle of the park linked with the club include Elliot Anderson, Adam Wharton, Sandro Tonali and Carlos Baleba. Only one of those names has Champions League experience, and that player is Tonali. If Real Madrid are looking to sell Tchouaméni this summer, he could be available at a cut price, making a move for him appealing to United.

But there will be plenty of clubs interested in the talented midfielder, if he is to depart the Santiago Bernabeu this summer.
