Lisandro Martínez calls out Man United's technical director

Lisandro Martínez did not hold back during his post-match interview with Prime Video last night.

The Manchester United defender took aim at the Red Devils' hierarchy, making claims they did not recruit enough players in the summer.

He said: "We had a fantastic season last season, and we expect more from the top [hierarchy], to bring more players to compete.

"I expect more from our technical director, I have to be honest," he said with frustration.

"Last season we did everything, we created the base to build an amazing team. It’s annoying, it’s disappointing to come here and not try to get an amazing result.

"You can start changing managers, but what about other areas? Because tonight it’s easy to blame the coach, it’s easy to blame the players, but we have to look at other areas," Martínez added.

Reports have circulated that Licha is not the only player in the squad who was left frustrated by United's lack of signings during the summer.

He also claimed that manager Michael Carrick was not backed well enough, and that he is not to blame for all of the problems with the squad right now.

The Red Devils are hoping to bounce back from their 2-0 defeat last night at Elland Road on Sunday.
