Jamie Carragher criticises Florian Wirtz after performance vs Bournemouth

Jamie Carragher discussed Florian Wirtz's performance against Bournemouth and was not left pleased with what he saw.
Liverpool won 1-0 away against Bournemouth on Sunday, going into the international break with three points. The Reds are yet to lose this season, and have won four games, drawing three.
Andoni Iraola's win against his former side puts Liverpool sixth in the table, and they face top of the League Manchester City in their next match.
Although things seem to be positive around Liverpool right now, Carragher was not impressed with Wirtz.
On the Jamie Carragher Podcast, he said: "Wirtz has been really poor again.
"Nothing is happening there at all. I've been critical of the fact that he hasn't got the numbers. But normally when you watch Wirtz, he's neat and tidy, he keeps possession, there's things that you like.
"He gets out of a tight situation where you're normally expecting your player to lose the ball."
"I commentated on Liverpool away at Burnley and Liverpool won with a late penalty from Mo Salah. And when I was watching that game, it was what I've seen for the last 12 months: I don't see how he's going to hurt you.
"It's just neat and tidy. And in some way, the price tag for that type of player should be half of what Liverpool have paid."
He added: "The worry for Wirtz now is that his performances so far, or what he's given Liverpool, is so low."
Since making the move to Merseyside, the 23-year-old has played 55 games, scoring seven and assisting 11.
During his time at Bayer Leverkusen, the playmaker had 122 goal involvements in 197 appearances, and was at the heart of the German side's success. But since joining Liverpool, he is yet to get going.
