Alisson will miss Liverpool's Champions League clash vs Galatasaray

Alisson Becker will not feature for Liverpool away against Galatasaray tomorrow, as the Brazilian felt discomfort during a training session ahead of the game. Due to concerns over Alisson's injury record, Liverpool have made the decision to leave the Brazilian out of the squad.
Therefore, Georgian goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili is tipped to start in goal tomorrow for the Reds. Alisson, aged 33, is believed to have picked up a minor injury, but it is unconfirmed whether he will be fit for Liverpool's weekend Premier League fixture against Tottenham Hotspur.
The injury news will now hand Mamardashvili a chance to prove himself in Europe's biggest club competition tomorrow, as he will look to help the Reds take a lead going into the second leg at Anfield.
Liverpool have faced Galatasaray this season, and the Turkish outfit were 1-0 winners. Victor Osimhen scored the only goal in the game, which was a first-half penalty. Mamardashvili has played 11 times for the Reds across all competitions this season and has kept three clean sheets.
The 25-year-old shot stopper has played four games in the UEFA Champions League, keeping two clean sheets in those games. He will be hoping he can secure his fourth clean sheet of his Liverpool career tomorrow, in an atmosphere that will be extremely hostile.
The winner of the clash between Liverpool and Galatasaray will take on the winner of PSG vs Chelsea.
Alisson returned from injury in mid-November, and four months on, he will be sidelined again. This season, he has made 32 appearances across all competitions, keeping 12 clean sheets in total.
