At just 17 years old, Lennart Karl has made a huge impact on Bayern's season so far.

He has played 22 games this campaign, scoring six goals and getting two assists. Three of his goals have been in the Bundesliga, while three have been in the UEFA Champions League.

The teenager has shown his versatility this season, playing as an attacking midfielder and as a right winger for his club.

Karl has featured as a starter and has come off the bench for the defending Bundesliga champions often this season, coming on as a substitute in Bayern's most recent game, which was a 6-0 win for Vincent Kompany's team.

Bayern Munich themselves have been excellent this season, losing only one match that they have played. Their single loss came at the Emirates Stadium, against Arsenal. The Gunners won the clash 3-1. Karl was the goalscorer for the German outfit that night.

In the Champions League, the 17-year-old has scored in both of Bayern's last outings in the competition, against Arsenal and most recently Sporting CP.

While he has thrived for Bayern so far, his impressive performances earned him a call-up to Germany's under-21s team when they played Malta and Georgia in November.

He made his debut for Germany's under-21s last month, and he has played two matches and scored three goals for the U21 side.
